Elmer Water Treatment Works: Filter Tank Conversion & Facility Upgrades

Impact was contracted to convert one of the existing redundant Enelco Filter Tanks into a new Sand Settlement Tank, a key element of the water treatment process.
The overall project scope will help maintain and enhance water supply for more than 700,000 residents in Surrey, Kent, and South London.
Project Scope:
Conversion of one existing redundant Enelco Filter Tank into a new Sand Settlement Tank Construction of reinforced concrete slab spanning the remaining 2 Eneko Filter Tanks, housing a new Motor Control Centre (MCC) and providing additional storage space for water treatment chemicals and equipment.
Construction of a dosing kiosk base, chemical delivery area, conversion of existing buildings into new gas storage, refurbishment works to the existing lime plant and Installation of penetrations and ducting.
