Arlington Water Treatment Work

Impact Formwork & Civils Ltd was awarded the project to assist with the upgrading of the existing 5no. sand filters at Arlington WTW in East Sussex.

 Following excavation works, Impact mobilised to carry out formwork and placement of concrete for concrete slab and walls for a new balancing tank to a height of up to 5.0m along with the use of a ladybird crane to aid with lifting and placement of formwork.

Having completed the balancing tank, we also constructed the sludge holding tank base and the hardstanding. All works were completed in the confines of a live working site, having to work around multiple trades, we had to ensure that good communication was paramount and key to ensure the safety of all workers.

This upgrade for Arlington will allow the plant to continue producing water of the highest quality.
